Death Of A Bachelor is Panic! At The Disco's anticipated fifth album - especially as Brendon Urie (vocalist) is the only member of the band remaining. However, don't let that mislead you, the album in it's entirety was written and produced by Brendon himself! Despite this, under the Panic! At The Disco name, Brendon has released another incredible album.

The album opens with high energy from Victorious, a track released quite a few months before the release of the album. This sets Death Of A Bachelor off with a fast pace, impressive vocals from Brendon and lyrics that eventually everyone will be able to sing along to - more specifically the chorus. This swiftly follows into Don't Threaten Me With A Goodtime which is personally one of my favourite tracks on the album. It maintains the fast pace set by Victorious and then takes it to a whole new level with the rest of the production. I particularly love the lyrics combined with the layering of instruments which work really well together to create something that sounds raw but isn't too overpowering. I find Don't Threaten Me With A Goodtime especially catchy and therefore often ends up stuck in my head for the rest of the day.
The album continues with tracks previously known to the audience in anticipation of the release including LA Devotee, Emperor's New Clothes, Death Of A Bachelor and Hallelujah.
Another favourite track of mine is Crazy=Genius, a fast pace and lyrically funny track which is also very clever in the way it is written. Aside from the lyrics, the track presents the idea of being crazy through raw sounds and layering, making it the only track of its kind on Death Of A Bachelor. Whenever I listen to it,I always get a tribal feeling, through use of certain drums and trumpets, despite being integrated with more traditional instruments used in the rock genre.
As much as I love the album, the reason I couldn't give it a ten out of ten rating was because I wasn't blown away and I felt like some of the songs in the later part of the album will be forgotten more easily in comparison to the strong tracks that open the album. This isn't to say that I don't like them, because I do, but they have left less of an impact on me than others.
