Return & Current Music Favourites
19:00
Ya girl's back!! Now a month into university life and currently having a large amount of time to myself not doing an awful lot, I decided to try and start writing on here again as often as I can. Getting straight back into it, for this post I'm going to be sharing with you my favourite songs at the moment - as previously done, all songs will be linked into a Spotify playlist for your browsing.
Speaking girls that are back, Chlöe Howl is back with another hit after the release of 'Magnetic' and 'Do It Alone' in 2017. Punchy and straight into the chorus of 'Work', it grabs the listeners attention from the get go. The verses don't let the pace drop at all with a prominent beat throughout and sultry beats leading back into the chorus resulting in a track that is difficult to not move about to.

Sigala ft. Ella Eyre, Meghan Trainor & French Montana - Just Got Paid
A release I have been very excited for was Sigala's debut album 'Brighter Days', released on the 28th September 2018, which featured 'Just Got Paid', released the week before the album dropped. It features my personal favourite Ella Eyre on main vocals with assistance from Meghan Trainor and French Montana for the final verse. Another song that is very funky to listen to and hard not to dance to, a sure hit on Sigala's Brighter Days tour in a few weeks. 'Just Got Paid' is a very summery tune, throwing it back to those warmer days, channelling Chic.

Ariana Grande - breathin'
A very late comer to Ariana Grande's music but with the release of her latest album 'Sweetener' I finally delved into her music and wow. I really enjoyed the album, in particular 'breathin'. The sound of the track is a favourite of mine with synthy beats, slowly building the pace of the song but allowing Ariana to shine through with her vocals. The pauses throughout the song add to its impact, especially into the final choruses. I especially love this song more having recently seen brilliant choreography to it which I shall link below.

Example - S1mpl3
Another return, with the release of an appropriately named EP 'Bangers and Ballads', a collection of varying tracks that still capture the Example sound long time fans are familiar as well as a few new sounding ones. 'S1mpl3' is a personal favourite of mine for that reason, including line references to 'Say Nothing' a previous Example song and another favourite of mine - if not this song I would highly recommend listening to the EP/mixtape (whatever he's calling it these days).
